George Watkins passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 70, in Dallas, Texas. He is best known for his bright smile, kind soul, big personality and being the glue that brought his entire family together.
George was born on June 16, 1951, in Winchester, Indiana. He graduated from Winchester Community High School in 1969. Winchester was a very small town and after George started working at Magnavox in 1971, he rose up the ranks at Philips North America and lived all across the country and traveled the world.
On May 26, 1984, he married the love of his life, Lillie Watkins. They were married for 37 magical years and together, they raised four kindhearted children: Joy, Quincy, Tiffany and Zachary.
George loved playing golf with his buddies and spending as much time as he could with every family member he could, near and far. Family always came first and for his children, he always tried to give the world. If there was adversity, he would try to stand between them and the world. He always made them feel safe and loved. His final wish was for his family to remain together and continue spreading his brand of love.
George was predeceased in death by his parents Charles Clifford Watkins, his mother Ula Birdie Watkins, and older sister Barbara Delores Ann Watkins. He is survived by his wife, children, siblings, grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends who love him dearly.
