Gerald Henderson ”JD” passed away on September 27, 2023 at the age of 53 in Euless, Texas surrounded by family after a year-long courageous battle with Esophageal
Cancer.
JD was born in St. Louis, MO on March 25, 1970. JD grew up in Florissant, MO. He was a 1988 graduate of Hazelwood Central High School. He played soccer, football and baseball in high school. He made many friends in high school that he continued to stay in touch with through the years. JD moved to Texas at the age of 18. He lived in Texas for 35 year and considered it his second home. Every trip JD made back to St. Louis included a stop at White Castles. JD was in the car business for many years. For the past 12 years, he was comptroller at Corvette Warehouse of Dallas. JD was a sports fanatic and was a huge St. Louis Cardinals & Dallas Cowboy’s fan.
JD loved being around people. He possessed a natural talent for making friends. He was known as a relationship builder. He loved his family fiercely and loved spending time with them. He was very proud of all of his children and grandchildren. He was very serious when it came to his yard and landscaping. He spent many hours working outside and inside the home even after a long day’s work.
In April 2014, he made a recommitment to Christ and was baptized at First Baptist Church of Euless.
JD was the beloved husband to Maria Henderson (nee Araujo), Dear son to Hazel Henderson (nee Robbins). Beloved father to Lindsay (Seth) Willeford of Bellevue, NE; Jordan Henderson of Fort Worth, TX, and Lauren Dahle of Springfield, MO. Dear
Bonus dad to Arturo Diaz, Vanessa Diaz, and Uriel Diaz all of Euless, TX. Treasured Papa to David, Simon and Emma Willeford. Dear brother of Hollie Henderson of St. Peters, MO and Michelle (Tim) Kuenz of Wentzville, MO and loving special uncle to Josslyn Kuenz. Dear nephew, cousin and friend to many.
JD was proceeded in death by his father, Michael Henderson; Maternal Grandparents, Edward and Anna Marie Robbins and Paternal grandparents, Charles Henderson,
Elinor (Nevins) Henderson-McCarthy and Harold McCarthy.
