Gerhard "Gerry" Christian Schmidt

Gerhard “Gerry” Christian Schmidt was born on May 1, 1929 in Pekin, New York to the late Christian and Emma Littmann Schmidt. Gerry passed away on December 6, 2018 in Bedford, Texas. Mr. Schmidt served our country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict. He retired in 1986 after 36 years of employment as a computer analyst for Navistar. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gladys; wife, Alice; sons, Steven Schmidt and David Williams; brothers, Immanuel Schmidt and Martin Schmidt;
He is survived by his son, Gerry Lee Schmidt and wife, Valerie of Hurst, Texas; daughter, Susan Schmidt of Arlington, Texas and daughter, Anitalynn Tighe and husband, Brian of Cupertino, California; brother, Curt Schmidt of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Delores Allison of Miami, Florida; grandchildren, Rachel (Michael), Olivia, Celeste, Corinne, Tia and Whisper. Mr. Schmidt will be laid to rest at Concordia Cemetery Gardens in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
