Ginger Kay Strong, devoted wife, mother, aunt and grandmother, passed away on
March 9, 2024, aged 79.
Ginger spent most of her life in Kansas, where she was born in Florence, moved to
Herington, and then was the first in her family to graduate college at Emporia
State University. She continued her Sunflower State journey to Abilene where
she met fellow teacher and "love of her life", Ron (her husband of 55 years), had
her son, Matthew, in Hiawatha, and resided mostly in El Dorado, where she
completed 27 years of teaching elementary school in the Circle school district.
She and Ron permanently moved to the Keller area in 2011 to be closer to her
beloved grandchildren (Gavin and Colin), Matthew, and daughter-in-law Jennifer
Strong.
Ginger is preceded in death by her parents, Leitha Jones and Benjamin Sayre, and
step-father Willard Jones.
As a life-long dog lover, in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the
Humane Society of North Texas.
For those unable to physically attend the Memorial Service in Keller, a link will be
provided on this page the day of the service for live remote viewing.
