Glendora Thornhill Waldrup completed her earthy journey on June 18, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.
Services with be at the Ash Lane United Methodist Church, 1101 W. Ash Lane, Euless Tx at 10 AM June 23, 2023.
Glendora was born on July 27, 1937 to Clifton and Leno Greer Thornhill of Summit MS., where she grew up. After graduating from the University of Southern Mississippi she went to Milton, Florida where she taught school for three years. She then was employed by Delta Airlines as a flight attendant in Dallas, TX and met her true love, Jerry Waldrup. They shared a marriage of 61 years, celebrating life’s many ups and downs.
Glendora was a retired teacher, having taught in junior and high school primarily for the Irving ISD. She was a Master Teacher and earned her Masters degree from Texas Woman’s University. In addition to her work s a teacher, Glendora was active in her church where she was a charter member of the Together Class, member of the choir and was Sunday School superintendent. She founded the Trailwood Garden Club and served as Vice President and Secretary of the Woodhaven Women’s Golf Association. Her hobbies included gardening, music, golf, traveling and reading.
Her greatest joy was being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She treasured each moment she had with her family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Drew Waldrup, parents and brother Cliff Allen Thornhill. She is survived by her husband Jerry Waldrup and daughter Sabra Ewing, husband Kip Ewing, grandchildren Meghan Karl and husband Cody Karl, Bailey, Jacob, and Sara Waldrup, Jace Ewing and wife Malarie, Cort Ewing and great grandchildren Minna Karl and Tripp Ewing. Plus many more cousins and loved ones.
