Glenn Roy Guilliams

March 30, 1948 — February 21, 2024

Glenn Roy Guilliams was born on March 30, 1948, in Dallas, TX to Hank and Joyce Guilliams. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Joyce of Weatherford, TX, his best friend and cousin, Ernie Holland of Irving, TX, and brother-in-law Wayne Tillman of Boyd, TX. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Janie; son Terry of Fort Worth, TX and his wife, Summer; son Michael of Haslet, TX and his wife, Candice; son Dustin of Euless, TX; sister Phyllis Tillman of Gainesville, TX; nieces Heather Beyer and Laine Cawthon and their families; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Glenn served in the United States Navy for 9 years, 9 months, and 25 days. In that time, he was stationed in Adak, AK, San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, Gulfport, MS, and Honolulu, HI. When he left the Navy, Glenn moved his family of three back to the mainland to VA where they resided in Washington D.C., Chintilly, VA and Falls Church, VA while he worked in Defense Intelligence at the Pentagon. In 1984, his growing family of four moved back to Irving, TX where they soon became a party of five and he was employed by GTE (which eventually became Verizon) until his retirement in 2015. In his spare time, Glenn enjoyed fishing and going to the races with his boys, and, in his most recent years, he found great joy in receiving photos and videos of his great grandbabies. While he loved his entire family, it wasn’t a secret to anyone who knew him that his greatest love of all was “his Princess”, Janie, who was holding his hand as he crossed over on February 21, 2024, surrounded by family and friends. He will be sorely missed by all who loved him.
