Glenn Nerwin, 63, died in the comfort of his home, with Kathy by his side, on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 after 4 years of living with a rare form of cancer.
Born in Chicago, on December 7 and raised in Mt. Prospect, Illinois, he was a 1975 graduate of Prospect High School and attended the State University of New York, Binghamton, where he studied painting and sculpture.
Glenn and Kathy moved to North Richland Hills in 1985, where Glenn, an artist and true craftsman, owned and operated a fine art service company for 35 years. The business specialized in services to museums, galleries, public and private collectors, locally and regionally.
By his family and friends, Glenn has been characterized as creative, talented, kind, honorable, selfless, and loyal. He was a mentor, a teacher, faithful, and a warm, generous man - the list goes on.
His passion for the arts, wooden boats, sailing, biking, nature, his business, his clients, friends and most of all his family, made him a true Renaissance man.
Glenn had a special and unique relationship with everyone he knew and loved. He was a caring husband, brother, uncle and friend and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years Kathy; his brother Gary (Laura) Nerwin; sisters, Denise (Mike) Nutt; Debbie (Lamont) Lewis; and cousin Herb Korff.

In honor of Glenn and to celebrate him, have a tonic with lime and toast life with friends and family. Enjoy your morning coffee, go for a walk, listen to your favorite music, garden, go fishing, lay on the couch and read your Wooden Boat magazine, go sailing.
That is what Glenn would wish for.
