Gloria Gene Mangham, 91, passed into the loving arms of her heavenly Father on September 21, 2017.
Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 28, at the First United Methodist Church, 13482 State Hwy. 22 in Cranfills Gap, TX. A graveside service will be held Saturday, September 30, at 1:00 p.m. at the Walton Cemetery, County Road 22 in Carthage, TX. Gloria’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 27, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road in Hurst, TX.

Gloria was born November 7, 1925 in Logansport, LA to her parents, Alonzo Clifford and Emmie Lois Erwin Mitchell. She received her Master’s Degree in Education and taught public school for 25 years, as well as 10 years in the Texas Prison System. She was also a reading specialist, along with being a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. Gloria loved being of service to her church and was one of the best workers they had. She was quick to open her heart and always had an encouraging word to say. She will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Cyrus Mitchell and sister, Helen Lyons.
Survivors: Her loving husband of 73 years, Rev. Cleveland Adlai (C.A.) Mangham; son, Cleveland Adlai (Buster) Mangham and wife, Donna; daughter, Debbie Stanford and husband Terry; son, Eddie D. Mangham; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Regina A. Mangham Jacobs and a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives.
