Gloria Jean Martin

Gloria Jean Rodgers Martin, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday March 17, 2018. Gloria is preceded by her parents Edd Rogers, Edith Rodgers-Sandel and Harold Sandel Sr.
Gloria graduated Grapevine High School in 1964 where she proceeded to be a beautician followed by becoming a homemaker for her children and family.
Gloria loved the outdoors, gardening, and tending to her flowers. There wasn’t a stranger in Gloria’s eyes and made friends with everyone she met. She would sit and talk for hours about her children, grandchildren, and their accomplishments to anyone who would listen. Everyone loved Gloria and her love for those she cared about. Gloria is survived by her 4 children Tamra and husband Andy Connally from Fort Worth, Michelle and Husband David Thompson from Bonham, Michael and Wife Stacy Hodges from Arlington, and Misty Yeager from El Paso; 7 grandchildren Dustin, Jessica, Devin, Nick, Hannah, Halle, and Ethan; 2 sisters Betty Lafollette and Ada Rodgers-Scott; a brother Harold Sandel Jr.; and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Service Visitation will be held on Thursday March 22, 2018 from 6-8PM at the Lucas Funeral Home, 700 West Wall, Grapevine, Texas 76051. Gravesite Service will be held Friday March 23, 2018 at 3PM at Grapevine Cemetery, N. Dooley St at Wildwood Ln, Grapevine, Texas 76051.
