Grant worked his way through college, at Bogosian Dry Cleaners and Carpeting. He continued working there through the start of his teaching career. He also worked part-time as a salesman at Frenchie's Chevrolet for 10 years starting in the 80's. But the one career he was most passionate about was his teaching Math at Madrid/Waddington Central School for 30 years.
Grant had a love for golf and antiques. If he wasn't walking the halls of the school or the car lot of Frenchie's Chevrolet, He would be pursuing a treasure through auctions and then restore them to their original beauty. He was a Seaway Bowl patron for 40 years and an active volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Grant was most proud of his family, and through the years he either could be found at a sporting event or concert for his children and grandchildren.
Grant is survived by his wife of 53 years, Lois Podgurski Badger; children, Susan and Michael Mistretta of Cockeysville MD, Amy and Kevin Holcomb of Grapevine, TX and Craig and Lauren Badger of Southlake, TX; grandchildren, Lauren (Mistretta) Upton, Ashley Mistretta, Brian Holcomb, Jake Holcomb and Brady Badger; sister, Sylvia Broer of Massena, NY; many nieces and nephews, and many more family and friends.
