Granville Wayne Bruce, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. He will always be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and colleague to all that knew and loved him. He was born on Saturday, January 30, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to Granville T. Bruce and Ula Lee Mead Bruce.
Granville graduated from Irving High School and went to numerous Air Force and Airline schools. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years from 1957 – 1965. Wayne loved flying his Mooney aircraft and held the following licenses: Private Pilot, Instructor, Multi-engine and commercial. Granville got married in 1975 to Judith Smallwood Bruce.
He was preceded in death by: Father Granville T. Bruce and Mother Ula Lee Bruce
Granville is survived by: Son, Gary Wayne Bruce and his wife Kim of Dallas, Daughters. Terry Kim Simmons of Clovis, California, Kelly Renee Bruce of Guam, Lanna Janelle Stone and her husband James of Arkansas, Step daughter Tonya Munday of Keller, Step-son Chad Williams and wife Alanna of Virginia, Two sisters, Onie Jane Pena of Fort Collins, Colorado and Audrey Lee Matthews and husband Matt Matthews of San Jose, California. He has 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
