Gregory (Greg) James Hall

February 19, 1972 — September 7, 2022

Gregory (Greg) James Hall, aka. G-Rock, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2022, at the age of 50.
Greg was born on February 19, 1972 in Birmingham, Alabama to James Hall and Eva Harkey Hall. At age 9, he relocated to the H-E-B area in Texas. He attended Euless Junior High and Trinity High School, where he enjoyed running track and playing football as a receiver (#80).
After High School, Greg studied a variety of subjects such as masonry, culinary arts and computer science, but found his true calling, when he and Cortney (Stollery) Watts welcomed their son, Tanner Hall, into the world and he became a dad.
In September 2002, Greg married his wife, Traci Wheeler Hall, and together they expanded their family as they welcomed son, Zachary Hall, and daughters, Brooklynn Hall and Alyssa Hall. Greg’s family was the center of his world and his children were his heart. As a stay-at-home Dad, he devoted his life to taking care of family, whether he was their own personal taxi driver, sharing lunches at school, coaching basketball or being their biggest cheerleaders and he loved every minute of it!
Not only was he always there for his family, he was on the Bedford Heights Elementary PTA Board as the lead for the Dad’s Club, Cross Walk volunteer every Thursday, and a volunteer with the Dad’s Club at Bedford Junior High. Greg would do anything to help a friend. He valued his friendships and seldom met a stranger.
Greg loved sports, whether he was playing football with the Fort Worth Panthers or at charity games, playing golf, or playing with the kids. When he wasn’t playing, he loved to watch sports, especially the Alabama Crimson Tide (Roll Tide!). Greg was also an awesome dancer, who would bust-a-move every time he got a chance. Greg would do anything to put a smile on people’s faces.
Greg was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Traci; sons Tanner and Zach; daughters, Brooklynn & Alyssa; brother Chris Hall; sister Jennifer Bailey; nephews Jimmy Bailey, JT Symington & Ty Wheeler; niece Echo Bailey; Father and Mother-in-law Joe & Betty Wheeler and Brother-in-law Joel Wheeler. Greg left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life for Greg will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm in the Lucas Funeral Home Chapel, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst Texas 76053.
