Gregory Earl Ziegler was born May 21, 1974 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

 He was a graduate of Baton Rouge Magnet High School where he was on their soccer team all four years. Greg loved music. He played the piano and cello for eight years.

 Greg was an avid Aggie! He graduated from Texas A&M University, Class of 1996, earning both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering.

 On August 9, 1997 Greg and Marta Jordan were united in marriage. Together they raised their four children Megan Emily (24), Owen Daniel (22), Joshua Gregory (17), and Samuel Jordan (13).

 He began his career at Navistar International in Fort Wayne, Indiana. In 2001 he began working at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics on the F-35 program in Fort Worth, Texas. Finally, he worked for Sierra Space working on the Dream Chaser program. His impact on the aerospace industry was profound and lasting.

 Greg found great joy volunteering as a Boy Scouts of America leader, doing photography/videography for the Timber Creek High School Marching Band, and coaching youth soccer. He also helped to create and maintain websites for the Scouts and the North Fort Worth Alliance Soccer Association.

 His artistic, creative, and innovative mind lead Greg to his hobbies: photography, technology, space exploration, computers, and woodworking.

 Greg is preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, James Earl and Margaret Quirk Ziegler, and David Orville and Augusta Smude Howe.

 Greg is survived by his wife, Marta; his children Megan Emily Ziegler, Owen Daniel Ziegler, Joshua Gregory Ziegler, and Samuel Jordan Ziegler: his parents Daniel Earl and Kathryn Howe Ziegler; his sister Amanda Ziegler Kellum and brother in law, Jay; in laws, Peter and Amanda Jordan, Emily and Shawn Angelle, Erica and Josh Pulumbarit; nieces Lauren Kellum, Aidyn and Molly Angelle, and Cora Pulumbarit; nephews Harrison Kellum, Peter and Quinn Angelle, and Luke Pulumbarit.

 Greg’s journey in life ended September 19, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.

 A public visitation will be held at the Lucas Funeral Home on September 25, 2024, from 6-8 o’clock p.m. The following day, a Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on September 26, 2024, at 10:30 am.

 In lieu of flowers you may donate to the National Brain Tumor Society and Collaborative Ependymoma Research Network (www.cern-foundation.org) in memory of Greg Ziegler.
