Harley “Bill” Wilson, 89, of Burleson, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 23, at St. Luke Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1404 Sycamore School Road, Ft. Worth, TX. 76134. Rev. W.E. “Eddie” Jenkins will officiate.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 22, from 4:00 until 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Blessing Funeral Home , 518 S.W. Johnson Avenue, Burleson, TX 76028.
Military honors will be presented to Bill at 10:15 AM on Friday, April 27, 2018, at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX. 75211
It is with great sadness, that we say goodbye to Harley William Wilson – “Bill” to all his friends and family. Bill rejoined the love of his life, Bonnie (Coen) Wilson, on her birthday, Sunday, April 15, 2018.
Bill lived his life in service. A Marine Corps First Sergeant, Bill served God and Country with devotion and duty. After the Corps Bill served his church community through various programs and positions, his local community through his volunteer work at Huguley Hospital in Fort Worth, and his neighborhood community through his work with Officer Nobles and the Code Blue program. He also taught English to Vietnamese and Laotians . Bill was a giver, through and through.
Bill is survived by his sons, Paul Wilson and his wife Laurel, Kevin Wilson and his wife Celena; daughter, Carol Spalding; grandchildren, Lauren Taylor, Kevin Wilson Jr., Breanne Jaco, Cash Spalding, Claire Wilson; great-grandchildren, Shaylen and Wade Taylor, Kenley Wilson, and Kevin Wade Wilson, III.
