Helen Marie Anderson

With sad and grateful hearts, we announce that Helen Marie Anderson passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on August 22, 2024, at age 96.

She was born July 22, 1928, in San Jose, California. She relocated to Fort Worth, Texas, last year to be closer to family, after a life-time spent in California. She passed away at home, surrounded by her family. 

Helen is a graduate of San Jose High School and was married to her husband, Dennis, for 68 years before he preceded her in death last year. They shared a deep love for their family and traveled the world. She was an early member of St. Frances Cabrini Church in San Jose, when it began in the little “Red Barn” on Camden Avenue. 

Helen leaves a legacy of love that will forever be remembered by her children; Don and Deborah Anderson of Ketchum, ID, Geri and Frank Cervantes of San Antonio, and Craig and MaryTherese Anderson of Fort Worth, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is the daughter of Joe and Mary Lopes, who welcome her into eternity with open arms. 

During this time of mourning and remembrance, the family requests your thoughts and prayers as they celebrate the life and legacy of Helen Marie Anderson. May she rest in eternal peace, forever cherished in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Helen may be made to the Social Outreach Department of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, which serves those in need, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton.
