Helen Ruth Brown

Helen Ruth Brown, 76, passed away September 23, 2023 peacefully in her sleep. Helen was born June 16, 1947 in San Augustine, TX to OB & Ruth Holloway.


She grew up in San Augustine. She married Mike Brown in 1966 in Fort Sill, OK and they were happily married for 56 years. She was a homemaker and mother to 3 children. Her husband Mike Brown passed away April 3, 2022. She enjoyed crochet, nature and all types of beautiful flowers.


Helen is survived by their 3 children, son, Brian Brown and wife Stefanie, daughter, Huana Brown and son William Brown. They had 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She is survived by sister Ruby Wallace and husband Morris, brother Glen Holloway and sister-in-law Louise Holloway. She is preceded in death by brothers Benton Holloway and Oz Holloway.


Visitation will be Friday, September 29th from 5-7 at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home, 518 SW Johnson Avenue, Burleson, TX. A graveside service will be Saturday, September 30th at 11am at Caddo Cemetery 6700 FM 1902, Joshua, TX.
