Helen was born September 13, 1924 to Jacob Henzel and Anna Krajewski Henzel in New Castle, Pennsylvania.
Affectionately known by most as “Grammie,” Helen was a special, unique angel on Earth. She’s been described as an inquisitive, thoughtful and spunky woman who was always a lot of fun. A real whiz-bang, she will be remembered lovingly for her abundant sense of humor, deep love for family and friends. She loved playing cards, listening to Polka music, was an avid reader, an epic letter writer (she looooved stickers), and enjoyed sewing and mending quilts.
Preceded in death by her husband; parents; six siblings, stepson and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Rosanna (husband Ron) Lewis and Marlene Springer; son, Stan (wife Pam) Naplen; “adopted daughter,” Lorraine Swindal (husband Ike); sister, Catharin Williams; step daughter-in-law, Dottie Naplen; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. She is also survived by her many “adopted grandchildren.”
Special thanks to Cindy Bullock who was a dedicated and loving caregiver.
