Helen Addie Woods

Helen Addie Woods received her wings at her home in Texas, August 20, 2023. Helen was born in Madera, California on March 19, 1943 to (Father) Costromer “Costello” Vaughn and (Mother) Frances Octavia Williams.
Helen was the only child from her mother, but had seven brothers and five sisters. She moved to Merced, California where she grew up and had children of her own. She was a bus driver later in life, became a foster parent and soon after she married and became Helen Woods. She loved her family, enjoyed shopping and cleaning those pearly white teeth.
Helen is preceded in death by her parents; Costromer “Costello” Vaughn and Frances Octavia Williams. Brothers; Vincent Vaughn, Lou Vaughn, Chester Davidson, J.C. Vaughn, Dennis Vaghn, Lawrence Vaughn and Leroy Vaughn. Sisters; Josephine Harris, Margaret Lang, Christine Mathis, Helen Jackson and Evelyn Straughter. Son; Milton Russell and Daughter; Donna Patterson.
Helen is survived by her children; Norma Storey (daughter), Denise Royal (daughter), Joseph Royal (son-in-law), Perry Patterson (son), Erika Patterson (daughter-in-law), Johathan Vaughn (son) as well grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be missed and with her beautiful smile she will be looking down saying in her soft voice “Family and friends, I love you all.”
