Henry "Wayne" Cowan passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at his home in Granbury.

Wayne was born December 29, 1937 in Fort Worth, the only son of Henry Luke Cowan (born 1913, Oklahoma) and Ellen Victoria Lunn (born 1912, Erickadahl, Jones, TX). His paternal grandparents were John Lunn and Minnie Segerstrom, Immigrants from Sweden.
Wayne retired from Bell Helicopter as a test engineer. He retired second from the U.S. postal Service and lastly enjoyed 12 years as a bus driver for the Granbury Independent School District. He was a longtime member of God’s Word of Life Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his son Alan Lance Alverson.
Survivors: Wife of 45 years, Patsy Bizzell Alverson Cowan born in Fort Worth; daughters, Valerie Lynn Alverson Wood (Tom Goddard) of Granbury and Wendy Waynett Cowan of Fort Worth; grandsons, Brandon Wood and Briley Wood; granddaughter, Ciera Alverson and husband Jd Spielman; great-grandchildren, Maddox Phillips-Wood, Gavin and Kenna Orent; and Riley Jo Rog; and his beloved Yorkie Lucy Jane.
