Henry C. Villanueva

Henry C. Villanueva, (“Rick”), 68, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 5, 2020. Henry was born in Brady, TX on March 21, 1952.
Henry grew up in Arlington, TX and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1970. He excelled as a long-distance runner in Track and Cross Country. Shortly after graduating he served honorably for four years in the Air Force Reserves. After leaving the Air Force as a Staff Sergeant, Henry began a career in the communication industry with Southwestern Bell in Fort Worth, TX. He then moved to Tampa, FL in 1979 after transferring to Lucent Technologies, a subsidiary of AT&T and later worked at AT&T Paradyne. After a short retirement from AT&T, he resumed his career and worked at Intermedia Communications, Switch and Data, and Interxion. In 2015 he returned home to Texas, residing in Allen, TX where he worked in the commercial business sector of Frontier Communications in Richardson, TX.
Henry enjoyed playing golf and attending Texas High School football playoffs. He had a great sense of humor which still make his friends and family laugh when recalling the stories or jokes he shared. He was happiest with family, especially at Christmas being surrounded by his nieces and nephews as well as getting to hold his great-great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Anabelle Villanueva; and brother Thomas Villanueva. Survivors: Brothers, Daniel Villanueva and Gary Villanueva; nine nieces and nephews; seventeen great nieces and nephews; and seven great-great nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him greatly.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the family has elected to have a private service at a later date.
