Herbert "Marty" Martin

ROANOKE -- Herbert "Marty" Martin, 76, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016.
Funeral: 11:00 AM Friday at First Baptist Church in Grapevine. Visitation: Thursday from 6-8:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Interment will be held at 11:30 Monday at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
Marty's career in the USAF took him to 28 countries & 46 states. He served his country for 23 years & 4 months. He graduated Ohio State University with his Bachelors in Economics & worked toward his Masters at Utah State. After his Military Carer he worked for Lockheed Martin in Greece in training the Greeks Air Craft Logistics. He was a speaker in the state of Florida to represent Save The Manatees, from there in Miami, FL he owned & managed a Sail Boat Charter Business. Most of his life he competed in many sports in the United States & over seas many countries. He treasured competition in Golf, Sail Boat Regatta's, Racquetball, Bowling, Gun Range Shooting & many other sport.
Survivors: Wife, Trisha Martin; son, Greg Martin; daughters, Lisa Williams and husband Eric and Amy Friedman and husband Eric; step-daughters, Jeannea Raupp and husband Adam and Julie Hoff and husband Kurt; grandchildren, Kristine Ashley and husband Lucas, Ryan Williams and wife Morgan, Holly Clark and husband Josh, Heath Martin and wife Eszter, Seth Martin and wife Amber, Aidan Friedman, Harry Friedman, Ian Raupp, and Emma Raupp; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brooklyn, Rip, Bella, Reagan, Naomi, Kamden, and Addy; and a host of friends and extended family members.
