Herman Wesley Clark Jr.

Herman Wesley Clark, Jr. passed away at the age of 76 on March 25, 2024.
Herman was born the oldest of seven children on December 7, 1947, to Doris and Herman Clarke.
After graduating from Washington and Lee High School in 1966, Herman entered the Air Force as a
Munitions Specialist. After stations in Japan, Thailand and Austin, TX, Herman was honorably
discharged and settled in the Fort Worth area where he attended the Devry Institute of
Technology studying computer programming. He moved to Keller, TX in 1983, where he raised
his two children, Melanie and Jonathan. Herman loved nothing more than watching his two
children play sports, attending every practice, game, and competition.
Herman married Donna Bruskie in 2005 and together they spent their time traveling, rooting for
the Dallas Cowboys and at their home away from home on Lake Fork. Herman was an avid
fisherman and loved all sports, but especially football.
His grandkids affectionately remember their “Papa” as a lover of terrible jokes, powdered sugar
donuts and annual trips to the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo as well as countless visits to
Papa’s favorite place, Bass Pro Shops.
Herman is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Donna, his children Melanie Cervantes
(Juan), Jonathan Clark (Staci), stepdaughter, Daphne Pape; Grandchildren Elizabeth
Cervantes, Olivia Cervantes, Sabrina Scott, Caelyn Hunkler and Sara Pape. He is also
survived by his siblings, Roger Clarke, Rita Clarke, Margaret Clarke, Donna Holsapple (Danny)
and sisters-in-law Marie Clarke and Ada Mitchell (Ray) as well as many extended family and
friends. Herman is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Frankie Clarke and
Ronnie Clarke.
Services for Herman are being coordinated by Welch Funeral Home in Warsaw and will be held
at Yeocomico Church, Kinsale, VA on Friday April 12 th at 2:00 PM with a burial immediately
following at Tucker Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society in Herman’s name.
