Hideko Sato Campbell was born February 12, 1934 to Ryozo and Kiyoko Sato in Japan and passed peacefully from this earth on September 13th, 2020.
Hideko, known by her friends as Heidi, was a hairdresser by trade and loved her work as much as she did her clients. She was a loving mother and grandmother and nothing brought her more joy than her two grandchildren, Kyleen and Brock. She was “Nana” to many, with a sense of humor and gregarious nature that not many would forget. Everyone had a favorite “Nana” story. Nana loved to garden and spent hours nurturing her Japanese garden. She was an amazing artist and loved to paint. She loved going to Vegas and Winstar with her friends from the Salon. Most of all, she loved spending time with Kyleen and Brock, making their favorite foods, going shopping and making them laugh.
Hideko is survived by her daughter, Maureen Davidson, grandchildren Kyleen Edwards and Brock Edwards, as well as her sisters, brother and many nieces and nephews in Japan.
She will be laid to rest at 1:15 pm Friday, September 25, 2020 at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Donations in lieu of flowers, may be made to Alzheimer’s Association in Memory of Hideko Campbell.
