NORTH RICHLAND HILLS -- Paschal White Jr., 80, died peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2012.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Legacy Church of Christ, 8801 Mid Cities Blvd., North Richland Hills, 76182. Burial: will follow in Bourland Cemetery in Keller. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Atrium of the Hills Church of Christ, 6300 N.E. Loop 820, North Richland Hills, 76180. Pallbearers will be Vernon Black, Galen McCune, Yancey Norman, Fred Slough, Jerry Stephens, Jim Williamson, Stan Davis and Gordon Brucks, Honorary pallbearers will be elders of The Hills Church of Christ.

Memorials: To honor his memory, you may make a donation to Christ Haven for Children, Keller Texas or Our Father's Children.

Paschal was born Sept. 1, 1931, in Smithfield, to Horace and Opal White. He graduated from Keller High School in 1948.

He went to work at Riverside State Bank at the age of 16 and then went into the U.S. Navy at 18 years old for four years. While serving in the Navy he married his high school sweetheart, Marianne Wallace, his wife of 60 years.

He returned to Riverside State Bank and retired as president in 1986. One year later he joined a group of investors who founded Watauga State Bank and was its president until shortly after the bank was bought by First State Bank in Denton in 1997 and again he retired.

A week later a friend called him to help open the Haltom City branch of Northwest Bank where he retired from in 2002. He served as many as four generations of families during his banking career.

He was a graduate of Southwest School of Banking, past president of TAB Retired Employees, various committees in the city of North Richland Hills where he was a resident for 33 years, a member of Diamond Oaks Country Club and served as an elder at Richland Hills Church of Christ for 22 years. He was well known in all of the area hospitals for his ministry to people who were ill.

Paschal was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronnie.

Survivors: His loving wife of 60 years, Marianne; children, Blake, Craig, Andrea and Eric; granddaughters, Melissa Darling and husband, Pete, Melinda White, Erica White and Meghan White; sister, Bonnie Bridges and husband, L.H. Bridges; brother-in-law, Lester Wallace and wife, Pam; numerous nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
