Howard Jones

BEDFORD -- Howard L. Jones, our loving father and Paw Paw, left this life to be with God and his late wife on Friday, May 25, 2012, at his home.
Service: A private family graveside service was held Saturday.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Ohana Residential Home in Bedford.
Howard L. Jones was the son of the late Vincent N. and Clara Jones. He served with the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of the A23AAFBU in Walla Walla, Wash. He made numerous trips up and down the Andalucia Islands to work on aircraft that had been hit after their missions in the Pacific. He married Ruby Alma Petrich on Aug. 22, 1942, and after 56 years of marriage she preceded him in death on June 4, 1998.
Howard was a member of the Fort Worth Elks Lodge 124. He was a 60-year member of Tarrant Masonic Lodge 942 and was a lifetime Mason. After 46 years of employment with General Dynamics he became a member of the retirees club. He attended Richland Hills Baptist Church and was a charter member.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Teresa Berendowsky who was Howard's nurse, caregiver and adopted daughter. It was there with her where he lived out his years with us in her Residential Care Home.
Survivors: Sons, Michael Jones and Rick Jones and Starla. Howard is also survived by two grandsons, Corey Jones, Patrick Jones and wife, Michelle; and granddaughters, Leigh Jones and Vanessa Jones.
