Howard Jason Tarver, resident of Whitney, Texas, formerly of Burleson, Texas passed away on May 2nd, 2023, at Providence Hospital at the age of 57 years.
Howard was born at All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth Texas. He grew up in Burleson, Texas where he graduated from Burleson High School. Howard worked as a structural steel iron worker and aided in various hurricane catastrophes with BMS Catastrophe, while traveling the United States. He also proudly contracted for Newman Trucking transporting military vehicles.
Howard was loud and proud, loving, and a people person. He was always quick to start a conversation with anyone and everyone he met. He brought light to everyone he met and took great joy in teaching and mentoring anyone willing to listen. Howard was always ready to encourage you to “fight the good fight”, and he lived his life doing just that.
Howard was a handy man and “Mr. Fix-It”. He loved music, camping, river trips, and canoeing, but mostly he loved his wife, children, grandbabies, and friends. He devoted his life to making his wife smile and feel loved. He cherished his family.
Howard is survived by his wife, Stephanie Tarver and children, Stephen Mash and wife, Janae Mash, Dustin Mash, Brittany Lambert and husband, Zachary Lambert, his grandchildren Mathew Mash, Tyler Mash, Autumn Mash, Jaxson Lambert and Amelia Lambert, Mother Maudie Tarver, Mom Jackie Shriber, Sister Debbie Tarver Fisher, Niece Whisper Crowder, Nephew Jesse Crowder, Uncle Johnny Tarver, and wife, Debbie Tarver as well as many friends that he called family.
He was preceded in death by his father Huey Tarver, Grandmother Crecie Mae Tarver, and Grandfather George Thomas Tarver.
Celebration of life will be held on May 19th at 3:00 pm in Burleson at Lucas and Blessings Funeral Home 518 SW Johnson Avenue.
