Hyrum Don Wacaster was born on February 18, 1976 to Don Wacaster and Barbara Swearingin in Muskogee, Oklahoma. He was the youngest of 4 children, he has 3 older sisters: Audra, Annette, and Angel. He spent most of his youth in Oklahoma and had many good memories of his friends there and all of the sports he played and dominated in there: football, basketball and baseball.
In middle school his family moved to Pocatello, Idaho. There he continued to excel in sports, especially football. One of his favorite memories was of winning the Idaho State Championship in Football his junior year of high school. He made many good friends in Idaho that became family.
In 1994 Hyrum played football for the University of Arizona. After the season was over, he went to Provo, Utah to await his mission call. He served a Mormon mission in England and Oregon. After he returned from his mission he spent a year in Pocatello before moving to Las Vegas.
In Las Vegas, he met his sweetheart, Rachel. They were married on September 11, 1998. They have 2 children, Tyler Hyrum Wacaster and Cally Jane Wacaster. Hyrum was a dedicated father, son, brother, friend and co-worker. He worked at many jobs mainly in the financial industry, his dream was to simply coach football. Hyrum was passionate about many things, especially his children, his friends and football. Hyrum passed on April 30, 2018. He will truly be missed.
