Ima "Ruth" Jacoby
October 17, 1935 — August 11, 2020
Ima Ruth Jacoby, age 84, of Euless Texas passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at her residence with her husband by her side.
Ruth was born on October 17, 1935 in Gainesville Texas to the late Goldie Westlake Estes and Delmar Maynard Estes. She was a 1957 graduate of SMU Nursing School and had a long career taking care of others at Harris HEB Hospital, Irving Community Hospital and she was also a school nurse for many years at several local schools. She was a devoted member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Bedford. Ruth was a talented quilter and a member of the Bear Creek Quilt Guild. She was a loving, committed wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be dearly missed by her adoring family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son Vincent Jacoby.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years. Herbert H. Jacoby of Euless, Texas; son, Michael Jacoby and wife, Sheri of Fort Calhoun, Nebraska; son, Perry Jacoby and wife, Mary of Flower Mound, Texas; one daughter, Sylvia Jacoby of Irving, Texas; four grandchildren, Emily, Kym, Matthew, and Katie; and four great-grandchildren Ethan, Edith, Connor, and Lilith.
A private family funeral service will be held. Interment will be at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park in Colleyville, on Saturday August 15th at 3pm. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to join the family at the cemetery. Donations in memory of Ruth can be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church Building Fund.
