Imogene English

Loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother- Imogene English, resident of Burleson, passed away at home on July 11, 2024, at the age of 89.

Imogene was born in Cleburne, Texas, on April 7, 1935, to Frank and Etta Timmons. She was one of seven siblings. She married Billy Joe English on July 27, 1952, in De Queen, Arkansas. They made their home in Burleson and raised 4 sons together until his death on December 15, 1995. She loved her family and was an integral part of raising her granddaughters and her great grandchildren. She had a quick wit and a great laugh. She taught her family to find joy in the simple things and to always have a hug to share. She loved the outdoors and gardening. She was an animal lover, and during her lifetime she loved and cared for countless pets.

She loved her church and The Lord. She will be forever missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her children Rickey English, Randy English and spouse Martha, Richard English, all of Burleson, Ronnie English of Godley; her grandchildren Lori Gunn and spouse Farrell, Shelly Carrington and spouse Gary; her great-grandchildren Caden Gunn and spouse Brenda, Savanna Gunn, Payton Carrington, and Preston Carrington.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billy Joe English, brothers Johnny Timmons and Marshal Timmons, sisters Ernestine Morgan, JoAnn Williams, Barbara Compton, and her twin sister Emogene Speer.

Visitation will be held on July 15, 2024, at 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lucas Funeral Home in Burleson, TX. Funeral services will be held on July 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Lucas Funeral Home in Burleson, TX.
