KELLER – Ina Mae Richard, 85, passed away Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, in Grapevine.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday in the chapel of Lucas Funeral Home, 1601 South Main St., Keller. Interment: Bourland Cemetery. Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral.
Ina Mae Richard was born July 29, 1932, in Broken Bow, Okla., the daughter of the late James L. Richard and Pearl LaHoma Butler-Richard making her the fourth generation to be born and reared in Broken Bow. She made her career as an estate manager and homemaker for a local doctor for more than thirty years before moving to the Keller area about 20 years ago. Her passion was her family but in her spare time Ina loved to fish, garden, and cook. Before moving to Keller, she was a longtime member of Pleasant Valley Presbyterian Church and sang with the Ebony Gospel Singers. She also served as interim president of the Broken Bow Chapter of the NAACP.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents; six sisters; and three brothers.
Survivors: Children, Glenda Scott, Valerie Laney, Artie Scott, and Ira Richards; step-daughters, Brenda Carlisle and Rosalind Johnson; grandchildren, Gabriella Powell, Kaitlin Richards, Kyra Richards, and Austen Richards; step-grandchildren, James Cantley, Breanna Cantley, Channing Carlisle, and Cameron Carlisle; brother, Larry Richards and wife, Dorothy, of Sacramento, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of loving family and friends.
