J.B. Watson

December 1, 1939 — November 15, 2017

JB Watson was born in Jones, LA. On December 1st, 1939. He went to be with the Lord on November 15th, 2017 at the age of 77. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Jessica Watson; his granddaughter Mikayla; friend and companion, Mary Hacker and her family; Bob and Debbie Haley, Robert and Alison Cowsert as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Archie and Hazel Watson; his brother, Russell Watson and his sister Nell Holland.
He was a dedicated employee at Bell Helicopter starting in April, 1966 and retired in October, 2000. He also served in the Army and was a member of the Hurst Masonic Lodge.
JB had many friends and was well loved by all. He loved to cook and was quite the master at BBQ as friends will attest. He was also a huge sports nut and loved the Rangers. He was especially excited that a Texas team won this last World Series. He loved life, RV travel, his family, his granddaughter, his friends and his pets! JB will be greatly missed.
JB will be laid to rest at Arwine Cemetery, Hurst on Tuesday, November 28th at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst on Monday, November 27th from 6:00-8:00 pm.
