J.W. "Bud" Harrison was the youngest of seven children and was born in Fort Worth, Texas. He spent the majority of his childhood in the Fort Worth and White Settlement area, with some time in Midland/Odessa. He met the love of his life in Fort Worth in 1961 at which time, he joined the army. They were married on October 21, 1963. He was both Army and National Guard, stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, Fort Polk and Fort Hood until an injury forced him into early retirement. He was involved with PTA, Burleson Band Boosters and as an Elder at Charity Lutheran Church. After 19 years, he returned to civilian government employment with CSMS/RSMS and worked in the supply department and as a safety supervisor. He loved time with family, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles, music and rebuilding trikes.He was a member of Brothers of the Third Wheel and Texas Independent Trikers'Society. He always made the best of everything and pushed through his injuries and tough times. He was known to always be aggravating friends and family. He lost his little buddy, Mr. Whiskers in 2018 and his wife Betty of 55 years, shortly thereafter. He is survived by his children, Donald W Harrison of Dallas, Stephanie D Harrison, also of Dallas and Grand-dog Charlie. He has three remaining sisters, Catherine Pearcy of North Richland Hills, Peggy Montgomery of Waxahachie and Juanita Parker of Keller; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
