Jack John Boot was born on April 10, 1940 in Queens County New York to the late Harry and Lillian Spacek Boot. Jack passed away on Wednesday, December 20, 2018 in Bedford, Texas at the age of 78.
Jack was a caring, generous fun-loving person that found joy in seeing a smile on people’s faces. After a career at American Airlines, Jack was a school crossing guard for 17 years for the Bedford ISD. He found great joy in making sure his kids got to school safely every day. When not traveling with his wife, he enjoyed the time he got to spend with his grandchildren.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Monica Mary Boot of Bedford, Texas; children Monica Boot-Caressimo of Bedford, Texas, John Boot, Jeanine Contino and, husband Joseph of Keller, Texas: Harold “Harry” Boot of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren: Taylor, Brandon, Corey, Loren, and Sarah; siblings: Harry Boot, Wally Boot, Cindy Skiber, and Candy Marcoccia.
The family will receive friends and visitors from 4:00 PM to 8:00 P.M., Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, December 23, 2018 also at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
