Jack Kearby

Jack Kearby, 90, passed away on Monday, July 4, 2016.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Haltom City. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Jack was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Weatherford, to Ed and Hattie Kearby. After graduating Weatherford High School, Jack enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Haines in World War II. After the war, he returned home to marry Thelma Luecille Winans, his wife of 68 years. They raised three children. He was an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church since 1960, volunteered decades of service to the Boy Scouts of America and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1984.
Survivors: Wife, Luecille; brother, Jerry and his wife, Linda; sons, Steve, Mike and his wife, Karen; daughter, Sharon and her husband, Joey; grandchildren, Chris, Kelly, Rene, Mandy, Amy, Joey and Corey; great-grandchildren, Alex, Gage, Jackson, Randon, Avery, Carlee, Landon and Kora.
