John James McDonald, 16, lovingly known by his family as Jackie, passed away October 6, 2021. He was born April 6, 2005 in Belleville, New Jersey. Jackie was a junior at Timber Creek High.
Jackie was the nicest guy you ever met. Family was always a priority to him. He was an amazing older brother to his sister Sophia, whom he loved dearly. He was also an incredible cousin to Mason, Kat, Jack and Kiera. Jackie was always quick to crack a joke, and he loved making people laugh wherever he went.
Jackie had a special talent for all things creative. In addition to playing the cello for four years, he was self-taught on the piano and loved all kinds of music. At home, he loved cooking and playing games, especially chess. His musical talents were matched by his other artistic abilities as he loved to draw and illustrate. And at school, his favorite class was creative writing because it gave him another outlet for his immense creativity. Jackie was truly an artist.
He is preceded in death by grandmother, Genevieve Pilot and grandfather, John Joseph McDonald.
Survived by his parents, Amy Lyn McDonald and John Jason McDonald; sister, Sophia; Aunt Marisa, Uncle Jeremy and their children, Jack, Katie and Mason; Aunt Adrena, Uncle Jim and their daughter Kiera.
