Jacklyn Ann Elliott

February 13, 1951 — March 28, 2023

Jacklyn "Jackie" Ann Marcombe Elliott, 72, entered into heaven peacefully in her sleep March 28, 2023 at home in Fort Worth, Texas.

Jackie was born February 13, 1951 in New Orleans, the daughter of Elliot and Madeline (Matherne) Marcombe.

Jackie grew up in Westwego and graduated from LW Higgins High School in 1970 and married the love of her life Adam "Pookie" Joseph Elliott. They resided in Bridge City, LA where they raised their beautiful daughter Angela Schott. After many years of service, Jackie retired from the Jefferson Parish School Board. She and Adam moved to McComb, MS to enjoy the peace and tranquility of country life. Jackie came out of retirement and started working for The Home Depot where she made many new friends. She worked in the Kenner and Keller stores. Jackie was a member of the Westwego Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and Saint Alphonse Catholic Church in McComb. Jackie loved traveling to visit family and friends and enjoyed seeing new destinations. But her true happiness was found in becoming a grandmother. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with and being Gram to Jared and Jordan. Gram spent her final years living in Fort Worth with them. She loved supporting their interests and passions, attending their activities and always encouraging their future endeavors.

Proceeded in death by her devoted and loving husband of 50 years Adam Elliott, her father Elliot Marcombe, stepfather Melvin Ockman, and grandparents, Anthony and Flossie Matherne , and Frank Sr. And Marie Marcombe.

Left to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Angela Elliott Schott, son-in-law, Joshua Schott, grandson, Jared Schott, and granddaughter, Jordan Schott. She is also survived by her beloved mother Madeline Matherne Ockman, and siblings Diane Atterado (late Flor), Cheryl Perilloux (Larry), Melvin Ockman (Janel), and Daniel Ockman (Cindy). Also, godchild, Marsha Spurr, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

A visitaion will be held at a later date at Lucas Funeral Home in Keller, Texas. A celebration of life to be held at a later date at Mothes Funeral Home in Marrero, Louisiana followed by a private inurnment at the Gates of Heaven Mausoleum in Westwego, Louisiana.
