Jacqueline "Jackie" (Layne) Parsons

Jacqueline “Jackie” (Layne) Parsons, 86, of Hurst went to her heavenly home Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
Jackie was born May 2, 1936 in Strawn, Texas to the late Susan Eleanor (Roberson) Layne and Benjamin Harrison Layne. She was a graduate of Strawn High School. She married Thomas Dale Parsons on September 6, 1952 at the Mingus Baptist Church and they spent the next 66 years together until his passing in 2018. She worked for H.E.B. Independent School district in the dietary services. She was a member of the Bellevue Baptist Church in Hurst, Texas.

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 66 years, Thomas “Dale” Parsons; siblings, Annie May, T.B., Bill, Jewel, Sylvia, and Lois.

She is survived by her sons; Kirk Parsons and wife Rhonda of Watauga, Texas, and Craig Parsons of Hurst, Texas; Grandchildren, Morgan Parsons, Amber Sampson and husband J.T, and John Parsons; one great grandchild, Camden; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M., Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Another time for visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 with a short service following at 11:00 A.M. She will be laid to rest at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn.
