Jacquelynn Ann Newsom Warneke, 82, of Bedford, joyfully went to be with her Savior on October 30, 2018.
Services: A celebration of her life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, at First Baptist Church of Hurst with Dr. Jeff Burnett officiating. Interment will follow on Tuesday, 11:00 AM at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Lane 1. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to your choice of the First Baptist Church of Hurst or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
Jacquelynn (Jackie) was born July 21, 1936, in Grandview, Texas, the daughter of WT Newsom and Virginia Castella Tackett Reynolds. She was educated at Forest Avenue (now James Madison) High School in Dallas and Tarrant County Junior College. On June 28, 1957, Jackie married the love of her life, James Howard Warneke. They enjoyed 61 years and raised three children together. Jackie was a talented floral designer, gracing many local homes and offices through her business Silk Flowers by Jackie. She was a member of the Joy Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Hurst. She loved to travel and read, and she could beat anyone at Wheel of Fortune or Jeopardy.
Jackie was preceded in her death by her parents.
Survivors: Left to cherish her memory are her husband, James Warneke of Bedford, her children Steve Warneke of Haslet, Suzi Warneke (Tom) Pagel of Waco, and Jamey (Valerie) Warneke of Grand Prairie; grandchildren Nick Warneke of Keller, Andy (D’Leesa) Pagel of Arlington, Lance (Paige) Warneke of Haslet, Collin Pagel of Austin, Jenna Warneke and Ryan Warneke of Grand Prairie; great grandchildren Witten Warneke and Manning Warneke of Haslet; stepmother Bill Newsom of Fort Worth; brothers Tom (Carol) Newsom of Evergreen, Colorado, sister Jerry Newsom of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Jim (Darlene) Reynolds of Royse City, Jerry (Kelly) Reynolds of Garland, :numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives; and her lifelong friend since junior high, Carol Walker.
Pallbearers will be members of the Joy Sunday School Class.
