James Gordon Alumbaugh

James Gordon Alumbaugh, 82, of Burleson, passed away Friday, December 11, 2020. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Lucas & Blessing Funeral Home in Burleson.
Jim was born March 16, 1938, in Robinson, Illinois to Carl and Nellie (Pirtle) Alumbaugh. He entered the Air Force in 1957. He married Linda Rice Alumbaugh July 10, 1957. After retiring from Independent Trucking (Alumbaugh Trucking), he enjoyed riding his Harley and meeting his friends for weekly coffee.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Cash Alumbaugh; parents, Carl and Nellie Alumbaugh; brothers, Charles, Robert and Lester Alumbaugh; and sister, Ruth Milligan.
Jim is survived by his wife of 63 years, Linda; children, Brian Doug Alumbaugh and wife, Carolyn, Jeff Alumbaugh and wife, Susan, Cindy Beckrich and husband, Chris, and Bonna Woodrum and husband, Ronald; brother, Paul Alumbaugh; sister, Mary Brown; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
