James Preston Argus

James Preston Argus, age 69, a longtime resident of Euless, Texas, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2020.
James is survived by his two daughters, Kelli Argus Hudson of Lantana, Texas and Katie Argus of Euless, Texas; his son, Nicholas Argus of Bedford, Texas; brother, Donald Osika of Rensselaer, Indiana; 2 sisters, Dianne Goings of Chandler, Arizona and Julianne Anderson of Bedford, Texas; numerous extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He also had a special relationship with his young niece Molly Orr of Bedford, Texas, who loved her "Uncle Junior" very much.
James had very special longtime friendships with his brother-in-law Victor Andersen of Hurst, Texas, that he had grown up with, and his neighbor Darla Pruitt and her children Allison, Wade and Rhyan Elliott, all of Euless, Texas, who were like second children to him over the last 29 years.
James had a long standing career at American Airlines that he retired from after 27 years of service. He was also a Navy Veteran. James was a simple man and father who was always there to take care of his children. He was a free spirit who enjoyed the little things in life, like playing tennis, betting on sports, and enjoying his backyard oasis. James liked playing his guitar while hanging out with his friends and family. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Life for James will be held at Lucas Funeral Home, 700 W. Wall St., Grapevine, Texas on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:00 am.
