James William Davis passed away peacefully on September 23, 2015 in Post Oak.
Service: 11 am, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine. Visitation: The family will greet guests an hour prior to service. Burial: 3:30 pm, Tuesday, September 29, 2015 in Post Oak Cemetery in Jack County.
James was born on June 12, 1942 in Grapevine to Lee Edward and Velma Louise Davis. He graduated from Grapevine High School in 1960. James attended the University of Texas in Arlington and later retired from General Motors. Upon retirement, James moved to Post Oak, Texas where he tended to his garden and longhorn cattle. He loved hunting and fishing with the friends he had kept for over 70 years.
Survivors: His loving wife of 33 years, Helen Davis; sons, James Michael Davis and wife, Amanda and Gary Lynn Davis and wife, Anjanette; daughter, Tonja Adams and husband, Mike; grandchildren, Logan Adams, Hannah Davis, Lawson Adams, Kyli Parz, Nate Davis and Lucas Adams; brother, Lee Edward Davis, Jr.; sister, Margaret Ann Sparks and husband, Jerry; and many loving family members and friends.
