Keller-James David Ellis departed the bonds of this earth on Friday March 8th2013, to be with his heavenly Father. His life was one of commitment to family, friends which ended all too soon. Visitation: 6-8pm Tuesday, March 12. Lucas Funeral Home, Grapevine, 700 W. Wall Street. 76051 Memorial celebration: 10am Wednesday March 13th at Gateway Church (NRH campus) 7501 Davis Blvd. North Richland Hills TX 76182 David was born May 9th 1959, in Jackson Mississippi to Elizabeth Cain and HD Ellis. As a child, he lived in Jackson. David excelled in school and was voted most handsome and athletic. His love and passion for football landed him a scholarship offer to play at MSU. David was loved by many and never met a stranger. David worked for FireTrol Protection Services in Garland, Texas where he maintained one of the top salesman for several years in a row. David's personality and tenacity shined through his career. David was a well-respected man among his clients and in his industry. David loved to spend his spare time with his family at the beach, with his friends on the golf course, and with his grand children in the pool on the summer days. David spent most of his weekends admiring his children and grandchildren playing their sports. David will be greatly missed and cherished by everyone who knew him. There is a void in all of hearts that can never be filled. He made the world a better place, and that will live on through those he touched. We all feel blessed for the many years we had him with us. We are excited to celebrate his life and we will always display our love and compassion to others as he did for all of us. Preceded by HD Ellis and Spencer Ellis Survivors: Son Chad Werne, Step-daughter Hollie Harrison,Twins Erik and Emily Ellis, and his wife Erin Ellis. Parents: Elizabeth Ragsdale and Step-mother CarolynAnn Ellis. Brother: Mark Ellis, Step-brother David Thompson and John Thompson. Sister: Holly Berry, Abby Rose ;And many other family and friends that loved him.
