Crowley, Texas - James Alexander Gaines, born on July 27, 1984, in Lubbock, Texas, passed away on November 28, 2023, at the age of 39. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories.

James was a proud and devoted husband to his beloved wife, Megan Gaines. Together, they created a loving home and raised their three beautiful children, Hannah, Harper, and Hayden, who were the light of his life.

Born and raised in Lubbock, James had a passion for food and pursued a career as an executive chef at Reata Restaurant. His culinary skills were unmatched, and he brought joy to many with his delectable creations. Recently, James had taken on the role of general manager at JD's Hamburgers, where he continued to leave a lasting impression on both his colleagues and the community.

James will be forever missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Megan Gaines, his parents, Beverly and Gerald Gaines, his brother, Nic Gaines, and sister-in-law, Jennifer, as well as his niece, Paden. Additionally, he will be remembered fondly by his extended family and friends.

A memorial service to celebrate James' life will be held on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at JD's Hamburgers in Fort Worth, Texas. All friends, family, and acquaintances are invited to attend and pay their respects.
