James “Jim” Ray Henson, 84, of Colleyville, TX passed away November 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by family.
Jim was born July 15, 1935 in Ft. Worth, Texas to Ray and Mary Henson. He graduated from Poly High School and Hardin Simmons University. He then enlisted in the army and served as an officer.
Jim married the love of his life, Joy Eubank, on December 22, 1959. He would tell you he married “way out of his league.” He and Joy had two daughters, Lisbeth Jane and Heather Lynn. He was a loving and devoted husband and father.
Jim spent the majority of his career working at IBM as a consultant and retired in 1991.
Jim loved to travel, go to the symphony and was very involved in his church home. But nothing compared to how much he loved spending his time as “Pawpy” to his grandchildren Tessa Noel and Gabriel Nolan and great grandson Colt Wayne.
Jim loved the Lord above all else. He loved His Word and most of all, he loved His Son, Jesus. He is finally at home there with Them now.
Jim as preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Henson and his daughter Lisbeth Henson.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joy Anne Henson, daughter, Heather Seeley, granddaughter Tessa Grissett and husband Cody, grandson Gabe Seeley and his great grandson Colt Grissett.
