James "Jimmy" Gerard Campbell entered this world August 8, 1962, and departed for his Heavenly home, June 9, 2023, after a long hard fought battle with cancer. His positive approach and his "I will beat this" attitude was beyond admirable. Jimmy fought with every fiber of his being. He fought with boldness, tenacity, humor, but most of all grace and dignity.
Jimmy, was born in Manhattan, NY and raised in Rockaway Park, NY, were he made so many life long friends. Jimmy moved to Texas and has resided here for the last ten years where he made many more friends. Jimmy was a die hard JETS, METS and RANGERS fan. If any of the 3 were
playing, he was watching, and you better not be talking. He enjoyed a beer now and then (wink, wink), and a good Tex-Mex meal. One of his favorite things to do, was making Grayson laugh with good old fashion pestering. Jimmy's humor was such a joy. He never met a stranger and if you were lucky enough to know him, you were truly blessed.
He was an amazing husband, dad, son, brother and friend. Jimmy was predeceased by his Mother Mary. Jimmy leaves behind his devoted, loving wife, Shonda, special son Grayson, Dad Sonny, Aunt Connie, sisters Ann Kennedy and Husband Pat, Carol Wurster and Husband Pat, Kathy
Campbell. Nieces, Ashley Kennedy, Katie Kennedy, and Kaylee Wurster. Nephews, Brian Kennedy and Owen Wurster. Sister and Brother-in Law Dawan and Tony Przano and their children Lindsey and Sean Przano. Last but not least, his very best childhood friend, Tim Bryne.
Thank you to each and every friend that visited, sent messages, donated to his cause, and prayed for Jimmy, he truly felt your love.
