James Forrest Neeld, 52, died, January 8, 2018. He was born at Miami City Hospital in Paola, KS on February 17, 1965 to his parents James D. Neeld and W. Lucille Neeld. He worked for Verizon/Frontier for 32 years.
He was preceded in death by sister, Debra Neeld; brother, Ronald D. Neeld; nephew, Robert Neeld, and Travis Neeld; niece, Brandy Love.
Survivors: parents, James D. and W. Lucille Neeld of Lenexa, KS; sisters Carolyn Putnam of Dodge City, KS, Kay Dean (Gene) of Olathe, KS, Margie Davis of Keller, TX; many nieces and nephews; best friend, Gerald Chance of Keller, TX plus his puppies who he dearly loved.
Jimmy loved to travel and enjoyed coming to Lenexa to visit his parents and friends. He graduated from Shawnee Mission Northwest High School and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. He was a very loving son and was very close to his parents. He went on several trips with them including several horse racing tracks for he and his father had a race horse. Jimmy was very close to his mother and was always with his sister Margie. When he moved to Texas a year later she moved down, also.
He enjoyed owning, working on and showing Oldsmobile vehicles. He won many car show awards and enjoyed talking to those who came by to see his cars.
Visitation: 5-7pm Friday, January 12 at Lucas Funeral Home, Keller, TX 817-753-6800. Service: 2pm Saturday, January 13 at the Lucas Funeral Home Keller Chapel. Burial will be at a later date at the Steele Cemetery in Falls City, NE.
