James Howard Paul, 93, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016.
Graveside service: 11 a.m. Saturday in Community Greenwood Cemetery, 2851 Ranger Hwy., Weatherford. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Rd., Hurst.

James was a devoted husband, a loving father, proud grandfather and a faithful Christian who was always "contending for the faith." He studied his Bible daily and prayed fervently. He was always ready to give an answer to everyone who asked to give the reason for the hope he had.
James was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel French Paul; mother and father; two sisters; and a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Cindy Paul.
Survivors, Sons, Jimmy E. Paul, Morris L. Paul and Gene N. Paul; daughter, Pamela Paul Hesselrode; grandchildren he loved and raised as his own, Robert A. Paul and Jennifer Paul Mallory; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild, all whom brought him tremendous joy!
