James "Jim" Arthur Sherwood Jr. was born January 21, 1943, to Virginia and James Sherwood, Sr., in St. Paul, Minnesota. Jim attended Johnson High School and then attended the engineering program at the University of Minnesota. He served his country proudly in the United States Army for 7 years.
Jim worked most of his career in the packaging and beverage industry which allowed him to travel all over the United States and overseas. His works and travels gave him the opportunity to meet many new people which he thoroughly enjoyed. Jim loved living in the Texas apartment community they came to call "home" and made many beloved friends there.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandy Clydene Sherwood; his two "bonus" daughters, Frances Thomas of Lake Dallas and Denise Robinson (and her husband David) of Carrolton, Georgia; 3 grandchildren and one great granddaughter (who loved that his favorite color was blue). He also leaves behind one brother, Steve Sherwood (and his wife Trudy Sherwood) of Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send sincere thanks to Community Health Care of Texas for their compassionate end-of-life care for Jim and their support for the family. Community Health Care of Texas is a not-for-profit provider.
