James A. Spivey, 89, passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home, 1321 Precinct Line Road, Hurst. Interment: Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Colleyville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lucas Funeral Home, Hurst. James was born May 21, 1926, in Athens. TX and grew up in Lovelady, TX. He was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and husband. James was preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Minnie Spivey and 15 Brothers and Sisters, Arthur, Clarence, Otis, Raymond, Earl, Naomi, Milburn, Elvin, R.E., Suny, Verna Mae, Louise, Darlene and Imogene; Survivors: Sons, Gerald Lynn Spivey and James "Alan" Spivey and wife, Mary; daughter, Paulette "Paula" Delka and husband, Lyle; Sister Bernice; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives.
