James “Jim” Wiley McCombs, 67, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, August 30, 2022.
He was born on February 20th, 1955, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He moved down to Texas during the 70s to pursue sales in carpet and vinyl siding before finding his calling selling insurance to the self-employed.
Jim is survived by his loving wife, Karla Gentry McCombs, son James R. McCombs (and wife Katie), and stepchildren whom he loved as his own, Anthony Foreman, Jeremy Foreman, and Danielle MaQuar (and husband Gregory).
His legacy will continue in the grandchildren he always talked about, James McCombs Jr, John McCombs, and Joseph McCombs.
He is also survived by his siblings Joseph E. McCombs Jr (and wife Monica), and Patsy Wheaton (and husband Jim) as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph E. McCombs Sr, and his mother, Virginia Roush McCombs.
He will also be dearly missed by his friends from the hood that frequently visited The Big Indian lodge and Flips.
No celebration of life memorial service is planned at this time. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled and update the Lucas Funeral Home obituary accordingly.
